Grapes from the garden at Fattoria Mose

Food & Courses

Good food has always been an important part of life at Mosè. The emphasis is on local, seasonal produce and traditonal family recipes that have been handed from generation to generation.

Breakfast is a buffet of local cheeses, salami, home made jams, fresh fuit and freshly baked bread, served between 8 am and 10 am every morning.

Most evenings supper is served around a table for up to eighteen people. The menu changes daily and most of the ingredients are grown on the farm. Everything is locally sourced and the dishes are typical of the Sicilian countryside, with a few additions to make the most of our produce.

Guests are invited to book by midday for the evening.

Simonetta e Chiara have written a book containing some of Mosé‘s most typical dishes and the stories behind them. “Un Filo D’Olio” was published in March 2011 and has become a bestseller in Italy.

Cookery classes specialising in local dishes can be booked in advance.

Bettina Schroeder’s painting courses will return in 2023.
