About

Fattoria Mosè is an organic farm within sight of the city of Agrigento (4km) and the Mediterranean (3km). The house was built around a Norman tower in the early 1800’s by the Giudice-Agnello family and is still their home.

The Estate is a recognised site of Cultural Heritage and a setting used in a number of books by Simonetta Agnello Hornby. The farm mainly produces olive oil and nuts and the land is wooded with thousands of trees. Some of the olives are centuries old and one took root in the last years of the Western Empire, 1,400 years ago.

The main house has four guest rooms and there are six courtyard apartments. Guests are free to wander the estate and use the pool and gardens. The atmosphere is rustic, simple and relaxed with breakfast served on the high terrace and supper shared around a large communal table with fellow guests and residents.

"Beautiful place to stay near Valley of the Temples"

This is an absolutely beautiful agriturismo choice near Valley of the Temples. Chiara, the host, is wonderful. She is so helpful, whatever your needs, and is a wonderful cook! The grounds and location are absolutely beautiful! Our only regret was that we could not spend more time at Fattoria Mose.

"Fantastic experience"

This was our favorite booking in a 2 week tour of Sicily. Beautiful grounds with a great walk through old olive trees. We had an apartment with all the amenities. We enjoyed dinner on the patio with guests from around the world. The owner is very gracious and welcoming.

"Tradition and generous hospitality"

Wonderful meals with simple organic food from the farm and lots of wine served in jugs. We would have liked to have stayed another night simply because we enjoyed the house, and the evening meals, and the talk over the table.
